Kersey's If You Had Wings - "Angel"
Angel was born on July 28, 2017, in a litter of six, and she is the sister of Pink. As a typical pied, she stood out, and was the center of attention. The highlight of her first weeks of life included an evacuation for Hurricane Irma. I brought Angel and her siblings along for a 10 day excursion, at the age of five weeks. Her outgoing personality, and being the pick of the litter, gave me high hopes for a show career and titles for Angel. Alas, that was not to be, as she was only happy and outgoing at home, and never happy at the shows. She stepped aside from showing to make way for her sister Pink (the reserved one at home). Pink found her happy place and has excelled at showing, while Angel's claim to fame has been as a top producer. Angel is CHIC certified, and her first litter produced crazy Kate, who became an AKC Champion at 20 months, despite the pandemic interrupting shows when she was six months old. Her second litter was the infamous "N's", nine babies born on the 9th day of March. She blessed me in her final litter with a single baby girl, "Mia" (Kersey's Party of One), who is a show prospect. Being a couch dog and mom is what suits Angel just fine, and I have no complaints, since she found her niche. It's not always about showing, but rather finding your happy place in life. Her favorite job as a mom has been to teach her babies the "zoomies" once they are old enough to run around. After having her last litter in 2021, Angel has since retired and is spayed and living as a spoiled pet in an excellent home. She lives in northwest Florida, with one of her sons to play with. The last few photos are of Angel in her retirement home, living her happily ever after with her son Tux.
